CRANE Public Transit Expanded Hours

CRANE Public Transit is expanding its hours of operations through Saturday and extending its hours from 5 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.

GRAND ISLAND, Nebr.—The City of Grand Island and Hall County are pleased to inform the community that CRANE Public Transit is expanding its hours of operations.


For the first time in decades public transit will be available throughout Hall County on Saturdays.  Additionally, CRANE Public Transit it extending the last pick-up time from 5:00pm to 5:30pm to better serve the workforce. 


New Office Hours

Monday – Friday: 7am-5:30pm

Saturday: 9am-3pm

Saturday office hours are by phone only.


New Bus Service Hours

Monday – Friday: 6am-5:30pm

Saturday: 9am-3pm


CRANE Public Transit serves the residents of Hall County with a portal-to-portal, demand responsive service operating within the urbanized area of Grand Island and the communities of Alda, Wood River, Cairo, and Doniphan, with a $2 charge per one-way trip. At minimum, a 24-hour notice is required from an individual needing transportation. CRANE Public Transit will attempt to book riders for a same-day trip if space is available.
